This is a flexible course that emphasises hands-on creative projects and coursework. It reflects the evolving nature of contemporary digital content creation and digital publishing. Due to the changing needs of multimedia products and services, the course appeals in terms of both media production and communication design. In the second year you'll get the chance to choose which areas you want to specialise in.
- Moving Image (film and television documentary, writing for screen media, direction, production and post-production, and sound).
- Interactive Media (traditional and responsive web design, interaction design and computer programming for client and server-side scripting).
- Virtual Environments (3D animation, character design, low polygon modelling, spatial modelling and visualisation using 3D Studio Max, Maya and Quest 3D).
All of our teaching staff are experts within particular multimedia areas spanning animation, moving image, web design and interactive multimedia. Teaching is informed by contemporary practice using industry-standard software and media production facilities.
