I have an obsession with lighting at the mo. I wanted to do my guild hall final again. I had were some thumbnail sketches and a few half decent reference images of the fire place.
I know there are a few things that exist in this room that I have not included in this painting. I wanted to convey empty haunted house and also add warmth to the image. I included a few ghostly shadows in the darkest corner.
I didnt fully render the fireplace as I knew the light would hit it reallt hard and there was no point.
Here it is, The mayors room.
On reflection, Im not happy with it. it was a quick one, this the fireplace took the longest all the wood was done in a hour or so.
